Formed in 2002 Kennet Passengers is a group of local volunteers who use public transport. Some members also drive and others do not. But we all share a simple vision: "Kennet should be a place where people can have a good quality of life with less dependence on the private car."

  • The Family Information Service provides information, support and advice on a range of family issues including childcare, tax credits and leisure activities.
  • The Parent and Toddler Group Support Service supports the development of new and existing Parent and Toddler Groups and provides information to parents through post-natal talks.
  • The ask Parent Partnership Service supports parents and young people with special educational needs.
  • The ask Parenting Service provides skills based training and support to parents with concerns about their teenager’s behaviour (8-17 years).
  • The Secondary School Choice Advice Service offers parents and carers free and impartial help and support to enable them to make the best and most realistic choice of secondary school for a child.

ask supports parents by:

  • striving to improve access to information and services for parents and carers.
  • using parents’ comments to influence the development of local services.
  • working closely with a wide variety of organisations to ensure parents’ views are considered.
