Libraries to loan electricity monitors
Libraries to loan electricity monitors
10•03•2010
Wiltshire council launched a pilot scheme to loan out energy monitors to the public on Monday 8th February from 11.00 to 2.00 at Bradford on Avon library.
Monitors will also be available at libraries in Salisbury, Warminster, Trowbridge, Devizes and Corsham in the first instance.
The monitors are simple to install and use, and will show you how much electricity you are using at any time and how much it costs. You can easily see which of your appliances are energy guzzlers, and where you can make savings. You can see one in action during the launch, and if you want to borrow one, the library staff will be able to demonstrate how to use it.
Councillor John Thomson, Wiltshire Council deputy leader, and councillor Toby Sturgis, chair of the Environment Committee, formally launched the initiative at midday, and Climate Friendly Bradford’s own “energy saving expert” www.energy-saving-expert.co.uk was there to answer energy saving questions.
